Nothing to fear, but fear itself?

Today marks an underlining if one were needed, of the cynical nature of this government. A government I remind you that has continually spun “Terror” as a mechanism of increasing the burden on innocent citizens by implementing draconian legislation using our fear as justification, a fear THEY created.
You might remember the case a few weeks ago of the Plod Bob Quick who “unwittingly” (because our Police Chiefs are well known to be with out wits of the right kind!) displayed secret documents (steady!) on a visit to Downing Street as he wandered from his car, this led to him not only resigning but, to our valiant Police Force bringing forward an “anti terror” operation.
Gordon Brown said at the time that the authorities had foiled “a very big terrorist plot”. (here)
Following on from the arrests of the 12 people including 1 British National who were detained for 13 days then released WITHOUT CHARGE, 11 of them have been threatened with deportation to Pakistan (from whence they came) because they “pose a threat to National Security”, even though the Crown Prosecution Service
..decided there was insufficient evidence to press charges – or to convince magistrates to allow police to hold the men any longer
So, from telling the public that this was a big terrorist plot, so HUGE in fact that they found precisely SOD ALL with which to charge these men, they now seek to deport them to save face.
And the Police are worried that there is a backlash against them??
