The simple yet powerful options of the next election
All the waffle about the “Leaders” debate and we miss a point that should have every right thinking UK citizen quaking in their boots. I realise that elections are never fought at an intellectual level, at the level of thought no, elections are all about immediate reaction and long term unease engendered by sound-bites of little or no substance.

Blah blah blah
That’s what the majority of people hear whenever a politician comes on the TV or radio and for the most part, they are right! The level of quality policy or comment is dismally low. Take PMQ’s – I have yet to hear an honest answer to a properly placed question – it represents the very worst of our politics and alas, the very state of our politics in the UK. Our politicians now are so career oriented that they don’t actually CARE about the people or the country, they care about their JOB and in the end, that is all that matters.
Our current crop of “socialists” are so greedy and morally corrupt that the good people of this country are content to think that all politicians are the same, which they are not. Sure MOST of them are but there are the odd few who put country and service before personal gain, but not many.
We have seen since 1997 that Socialism is no more the answer than Fascism or Conservatism, what is left to try but God forbid, Liberalism. No, I think we will continue on this merry go round of political sleaze, lies, corruption and greed until WE change it, until WE stand up and say NO MORE!

Own people
Since 1997 the state machine has grown to almost unsustainable levels and as of 2005 the ONS noted that 1 in 5, yes ONE IN FIVE people employed in the UK were employed by the state[1]. That means that 20% of income is derived from the state and THAT is a lot of money, a lot of families that rely on a government that backs big state and that my friends, aint the Conservatives!
So, Labour own a vast majority of the labor market but wait, there’s more…
Increase reliance on the state, increase the fear
Currently there are according to research[2] over 2.47 million people out of work and, this figure will rise over the next few months as our economy (allegedly “Better placed that a lot of countries to ride out the economic storm”) struggles to get out of the trouble we are in courtesy of our friends in the Square Mile. SO how many more people will want to vote to keep or increase the benefits they will receive?
Cuts v Increases without explaining where the increases will come from.
And now, rumour has it that Gordon v Dave will be a simple match of two opposing view points and, will it be a serious battle of political standpoints, of ideological positions? No, it will be a simple, sound-bite driven hit by hit around…

Increased spending v Cuts to reduce the deficit
Now, what do you suppose will happen? Oh let me think, will the MILLIONS of people who work for the state vote for a party that seeks to reduce the size and onerous cost of the state? Will turkeys vote for Christmas?
Will people want to vote for a party that will seek to actively reduce the number of people currently relying on the state for all their income via benefits? No.
Will the main stream media offer a balanced and unbiased view of the REAL political points that shape our future? Probably not.
They are currently so cock-a-hoop that we are going to “go American” and have presidential style debates bringing in the cult of personality that I can predict another great failure of the media to anything like report and NOT shape opinion.
Where else can we go for “news” – ahah! How about the Internet after all, that’s free speech isn’t it?
Control the Internet, control the message
Imagine for one minute a place where like Australia or China, we in the UK were not able to see the purloined CRU emails, to explore the lies and manipulation that developed into a foundation stone for the HUGE money-spinning endeavor that is Man Made Global Warming. Imagine if we were never given the freedom or chance to see that, that we were forced to see only what the State declared we could see?
THAT could be coming to an ISP near you real soon if New Labour get in again[3].
Be afraid…
I’d say there is no way we would be STUPID enough to vote this money grabbing, fascist, control freak of a government back into power but, never underestimate the power of stupid people in large enough groups and, with the number of people employed or reliant on the State for their income, that is a big block of people…
Think now, Act when you vote.
